[Article] 2K13 Feel Korea in Perth Part 8: MBLAQ & Aftermath

Deuh Hello,

It is now half past 8. We are now reaching the last lineup and still can't believe the night flew past so fast. Too bad that it was a short show, the crowd is now demanding more encores for Ailee but I don't think she could take more! Also, we were so exhausted filming the show straight and forgot to get something from the snack bar during intermission... everything's closed!! Oh well, we just got to man up till late dinner then. Apart from that, here's...

MBLAQ

Last but not least, a good way to end the show is a "Boy Band".

To be honest, the last thing I watched or heard from MBLAQ were so long ago that you can call it ancient history. I think it was "This is War" and some collaborations from some members with Kan Mi Youn and G.Na. Still, the concert performance were good, the upbeat dance routines and lights are well choreographed. It also came with some eye candies and complimentary teases. At least after all that show, a fan threw up a sweet gift... Good on you, front row fans!

Attached is the full performance by MBLAQ, everybody!

It's now approaching the end of the show. Unfortunately, it's time to say goodbye. Boo Hoo Hoo!! However, it's not the end yet. We still have autographed souvenirs to be thrown to the lucky fans... plus the celebrities have a stage photograph with the audiences as well.

No dear audiences, do not move from your seats yet...

As for me, I'll have to wrap up the gears and rest up for tomorrow's early flight home. Thank you, 2K13 Feel Korea Perth. It was fun unforgettable night!

Attached is the full show Outro, everybody!

And... that concludes 2K13 Feel Korea in Perth. Merry Xmas & Happy New Year, Perth.

[Article] 2K13 Feel Korea in Perth Part 7: Ailee

Deuh Hello,

Thank you 2K13 Feel Korea for leaving the best for last. It is roughly 8pm now, passed 2 hours since I used my camera now I'm left with one camera on low batt. I'll try my best to capture the best moments in this fateful moment... until I found a power cable. Alright, now let the filming begin! Unfortunately, the HD video would take 4 days to upload so... screw that! I'll just upload SD version again!! So the next line up is...

Ailee

Despite her ankle injury from few months back, she still can swag around the stage.

Anyways, she generously gave us 4 songs in total and aced the crap of all 4, including 2 chat sessions. It was well worth the troubles getting here to see & hear the real thing.

She's doing the heart, guys. Not the monkey...

Awww, so cute that she's got a very fun personality and very carefree. Ms Lee... Would be hoping for another opportunity for you to comeby Australia again, please make it back to Sydney or Melbourne. Would be awesome if we can have an appointment for jamming session in the studio with the crews, cruise around like hooligans with the crews and a champion buffet session with the crews... as well!

Attached is the full performance by Ailee, everybody!

Yup... Although she's Devy and my bias, but there's also more Aileeans around so let's find some, we still got to fill up the banner. The banner took quite a beating the moment we took it out for the fans. When there's a banner, there's big flock coming... But it's ok, there's still roughly enough space for everyone.

"Ailee & Perth Aileeans, Always Together!"

[Article] 2K13 Feel Korea in Perth Part 6: TMF, Wheesung & Alexander

Deuh Hello,

Was distracted with the last party of the year "Party On The Park 2013" last night but now we are ready for more encoding in Tom's studio right after cleaning up. Unfortunately, the HD video would take 3 days to upload so fsck that! I'll just upload SD version for the lols!!

Hey, Tom. since there's the TV behind us. Let's watch Crayon Pop - Lonely Christmas at least.

But hold up, before we mooch the net from Tom's studio. Got to give courtesy to the home owner to respect the sanctity of his studio by hearing the new mixing of the new song. Tom's got a new project mixing a song for Domba called "One for the King (Dilla Tribute)". Let us entertain and educate you about mixing in this documentary video, as well as listening to it.

Paw: So Tom, Music 101. What differentiate a mastered song and unmastered song?

Tom: *inhales, hold it for 3 seconds and exhales.*

TMF
Next line up just like the name Trouble Maker Family, looks like it.

Our host of the moment is Alexander again. As quirky fun as he is, he gave us a little insight on TMF, Trouble Maker Family. TMF is the shadow on BigBang, 2NE1, Infinite and some more other group's choreograph mastermind. During the show, some lucky audiences from yesterday's dance class were selected to perform onstage with TMF as well. Enough chatter, check it out.

Attached is the full performance by TMF, everybody!

Wheesung

Some much passion and swag. It's like hearing half of R.Kelly on stage.

Alright! It's Wheesung time! There's nothing much to say about this guy. He's just too cool for school. Despite people talking him down recently, I think many people forgot that this is a charity event and he kinda volunteered in it so... yeah... Anyways, as long as there's "With Me" I'm all content.

Attached is the full performance by Wheesung, everybody!

Alexander

Alexander going all cutesy with TMF. So adorable when they giggling like that. It's never too late to be cheesy and cute.

Our host Alexander again. To be honest, I don't know anything about him until he starts to perform. He did mention that he hasn't made any comebacks for a while due to his filming project or something. Anyways, the more I see him, the more he just suddenly turned into Justin Bieber with all the cuteness overload dance routines. WAHHHH!!!

Attached is the full performance by Alexander, everybody!

[News] End of Year KPOP Party on the Park 2013

Deuh Hello,

It was a perfect morning, skies are so clear I can see the moon's underpants from Tom's living room pop up couch. The day gets even better when Tom's mom was playing chilling jive music while she brew the breakfast of a lifetime. The plan today was to finish up encoding the video for Perth from last night. Yup, I stayed over Tom's to leech his upload speed. Anyways, sipping awesome morning tea and let's encode more movie but...but... got a mail from KSOC for a last minute event for "Party On The Park 2013".

I wonder if there's more to this sh*t. Free entry and Free Drinks, sounds heaven sent.

We came a bit late around 7:30pm but all is good that we still got some time to enjoy the show till Tom's gonna rendezvous with us at 8pm. I'm a little bit surprised that I need my ID to enter... I was like "I need an ID for drink?" Then the concierge said "Well, we are serving alcohol". Bic and I just suddenly eyeballed each other and wailed "We are so going ham!!" It's just too good to be true but alcohol during weekend is just what I needed, yet it came with a price... as you can see from the following drunken photography.

We've got a couple live music on stage. Where the Fsck are you, Brian?!

some angle asian lady boners sessions as well to be honest.

At least it's not like a club party. People actually know what everyone's talking about. There's none of those cold calls towards strangers. It's best to describe it as going to your celebrity friend's party.

But the show ain't fun without some booze. First thing first for us is to do the most sensible thing. To reach the high score on who drinks the most! We'll just keep on stacking our cups to count who's the heaviest drunkard (and still being responsible of course). Still... Free drinks... this got to be heaven sent.

Check out those beer, Chilsing Soju, Pineapple Soju, Berry Soju begging for it.

After our stupid competition on drinking the crap out of the bar, we head to the dance floor. I'm trying my best to take photos but for some reason I'm seeing starry glares, kaleidoscopes and everybody just looked so attractive. Errmmm... Errrmmm!!

After the halftime, things started to heat up with a little lust...

Determination...

Anticipation...

and Admiration.

So, it was a fun 2 hours photo taking, dancing our heels off and such. Would be nice if the whole crew could come but time is such a luxury we don't all have so I wish you guys the best for the end of this year and look forward for the new year resolution for next year.

Come on, guys. For whom shall not be named, get your asses here next time.

After 2 hours of dancing cardio workout, nothing beats it with some Chinese carb rich diet. WAHHHHHH!!!!

Holy Fsck, Tom! Thanks for dinner. Ruff you rooong time!!

[Article] 2K13 Feel Korea in Perth Part 5: Ongals, DJ Fili & Newko

Deuh Hello,

It is now 30 minutes left prior to the concert. After the crowd is half way settled to their seats then it's time for us to walk in to avoid unnecessary bumps. The ushers escorted us to the viewing deck with some of the JK Entertainment media crews in the centre most part of the top wing. Being in the viewing deck is the worst place to be with all the sounds ricocheting from the walls but I've come prepared.

It would be nice to get up close on the floor but we've got close access to the snack bar, restroom, 2 power points and exit door just in case. Unfortunately, the HD video would take 6 days to upload so fsck that! I'll just upload SD version for the lols!!

I wish you can smell what I'm smellin. Ermm.. Ermmm!! It was kebabs.

Our host of the day is Alexander. Never heard of him, never seen him before and all the sudden this quirky guy pops out at 7pm to introduce the show. I'm not quite impressed when someone is too overtly expressive but since it's weekend, let's just relax and enjoy what he had to say. So without further delay, he introduced the first line up, The Ongals.

The Ongals

The getups, the hair... Is this supposed to be a standup comedy that I won't understand at all?

From the first day I heard of this line up, I wasn't that hyped up at all. Also, I've skimmed an article that they used to perform in the previous event in Canada or something.

Well, since they performed first I'd assume that they are the weakest performer of the show. Guess what?! Majority of the crowd and I was wrong, they ended up with awesnom applause (Yup, I misspelt that for epic effect). The best part is the sick choreographed beat box skill, that was just cool as. Lucky, you don't need to understand Korean to get their joke, it's all acted out.

Attached is the full performance by Ongals, everybody!

DJ Fili

Deuh Hello, DJ. Come on out and do the shuffle!

After Ongals, we've got a transition from DJ Fili from New Zealand... I think. Nothing much except awesome light-works and contemporary kpop hits mashed up in bowl, pre baked and popped into the oven to burst. HuooOOoowwwhhh!!

Not only DJing all the time but occasionally hopped on stage and danced too.

Attached is the full performance by DJ Fili, everybody!

Newko

Come on, everybody. Even if you are not Korean, you can be Korean right now.

DJ Fili added an outro with a grand suspense till it just epic break down that gives everyone the Awws... till Newko took over the show with his slow ballad and raps. Newko's also a performer from New Zealand prestigiously selected to perform for us with his originals. Thank you for coming all the way with your badassness, Newko.

[Article] 2K13 Feel Korea in Perth Part 4: Greeting the Fans

Deuh Hello,

After yesterday's scouting, we are prepared for what's coming. Except, I'm not prepared for 4 hours straight recording as I can't sleep last night due to over-excitement & a good reason to maintain 4 cameras (I had to go to my 24hour, global gym for the only access to safe heaven charging batteries and hot showers). until around 6pm where Devy found me parked in front of her house sleeping in the car. But all is good, I thought I might ended up car-jacked. I'm so sorry to overload the power points, Devy.

So sad, I had to charge up my devices in my gym. Luckily my membership works worldwide. Got to drain the juice out after we spent the power video logging yesterday. LOLS!!
Good morning, Sunshine! Time to wrap you up for the big day.

It is now 3pm. Scheduled show starts 7pm, but we will go early to greet & entertain the fans with handouts, photo-shoots, banner signings, chit chats and something to do to spend time. The journey from Riverton to Mount Claremont is approx 40 mins if you check out the treasure map. We'll head early for the good old Subway sandwiches, you are the best there's no other word that can describe the "Meatball Flatbread with The Lot Salads" unless it's "Orgasmic Feast for the Senses".

Pretty much we have to drive from south of the book, pass the scenic route in City and then cross the river and head west till you reach "Kpop Here" sign.

However, the Pre Event footage is uploaded. Enjoy!

After the pre event video snapshots... Let's roll out the photo snapshots from Devy. Guys, give her a credit, she just learnt how to do photos in less than 30 minutes. Feel so bad overworking a Youtube singer to a reporter all the sudden. LOLS!! But I have to agree, she's so natural in learning things fast when under PRESSURE!

Holy Fsck! The queue for VIP standing is so serious. It goes for as long as Olympic size pool or more.
Deuh Hello, I've got original posed shot but this photo captures the best moment for these guys.
I've seen Aileeans from 2K13 FB page. But this is for real. LOLS!!
One thing I forgot to ask is where do you get the original 2K13 T-shirts but I assume from the cultural class yesterday.
Deuh Hello, MBLAQ fans. Please teach us a little about MBLAQ as we are either new or Ailee biases.
Wow, more MBLAQ fans. How do you get them flags?
OH, god!! I think when MBLAQ's on stage. Sh*t's gonna get down!!
Awww, come on!! Where are the Aileeans back here?
The fans at least ain't like Sydney Kpop Fest 2011 crazy mobs where these metal railing bars would end up missing.
Oh well, we meet again, JK Entertainment.

[Tea Break] 2K13 Feel Korea in Perth Part 3: The Pre Event (Perth)

Deuh Hello,

I'm glad I'm back to civilisation as I wrote this anecdote. It was a long rigorous 7 hour flight to Perth due to engine maintenance. Even worse, having to seat next to a baby. Waaahh... T_T But that can't be helped. So without delay, I'll show you the pre event behind the scenes before 2K13 Feel Korea in Perth including the venue survey.

Oh sweet, I just found out blogging on the phone is just plain retarded.

The flight started at 9:10am. At least I sat next to an interesting guy, his name is Phil. Apparently Phil worked as a mixer in Studio 301, a prestigious studio that master songs for Justin Bieber and Maroon 5. A very nice guy actually and fun. Quite a coincidence to meet him as we're looking for a connection in the music industry to mix and master Tom's upcoming EP for the lols. So I was asking Phil for his card but I got his boss's card instead! What a win!!

For all your mixing and mastering needs.

We touched down at roughly 1pm local time. The weather in Perth was moderately humid and chance of showers.. yeah... Swiftly, Phil and I rushed towards the front terminal as I've got to catch up on the 2K13 Cultural Classes which I missed...*sigh* and Phil's got to catch up on his mate's wedding recital.

Euhhh, the first impress touching down in Perth is being pissed on. Poor you, Phil.

After baggage claim and quarantine, I'm surprised for having to go through quarantine for a local flight. The airport security is very tight in Perth for i'm guessing it's a very work safe environment due to it's prosperous mining economy.

Anyways, we queue for the line to pickup my anticipated Veloster. I've always wanted to drive one of this baby after admiring it from the drama series "City Hunter" and shortly, they showcase it in Sydney's Kpop Festival 2011.

I'm like should I pay extra $5 for the turbo series? Let's fork up insurance and just give it a go! It was worth it because Perth is made of series of freeways and highways where you go over 100kph anyways.

Ok, before we drive... Let's check my poorly drawn treasure map of the city POI and the stadium.

When it says "No man's land". Stay away from it.

But all is well when I finally met my comrade from the music making days. The one and only "Devy Kentjana", she's quite a Youtube sensation in Sydney for her covers. Please show a little support towards our local talents since it's going to be a few to read, I'll link one of her cover in here to accompany your enjoyment.

Counting hours till she finish working long hours, I'll just end up sleeping in the car till 3pm. LOLS! Anyways, while we are in town... let's check out the suburb of Fremantle. It's a hipster suburb full of vibrant colours and culture!! Awww, so nice to see you again after a long time, Devy!! You're the best!

Liking pubs? There's places to choose but we're not fond of alcohol after a footlong sandwich! No, Devy. We're not going to drink in Rosie's.

Let's take a picture here so we can reminiscence where we park our car.

Check out the colourful traffic. By that I meant they paint the road red, yellow, blue and else.

Ok, it says tram but it's got wheels. Let's see just to make sure.

Time is not a luxury, would be nice if we can check out this hip looking bar.

Overall, the food culture here is unique. You see these macarons from Maison Saint Honoure is very sought for. Now I know why, the salted caramel is sinfully delish!!! Plus, the food is a bit iffy for me. When i'm in doubt with food, I know I can trust Subway's Meatball manwich with Flatbread. Yummm!!

It's a big block of walking but the main POI of Fremantle for me is the market, I've always to scout out the oldest part of town.

The highlight would be the Fremantle market. The best way to describe it is
get ready to be warped into the 18th century market. Lots of handiwork crafts, fortune telling,
gyspy wears, fruit and veggies and someone threw boomerangs indoors for the lols.

It's now approaching the evening. We decided to scout the stadium to familiarise ourselves to the venue before tomorrow's event. It's good to prepare and get ahead from other event crews as the JK Ent team also coming from Korea and have to familiarise themselves.

The caption description is based on my perspective and the actual event.

The main entry point for all cars and buses. There's huge roundabout with ample of space to do your paparazzi shots.

The VIP entry point for the floor standing. Definitely the most packed spot.
Parking is very accessible as they are right south from the VIP entry point.
East from the VIP entry point is where the drop off for the celebrities (if they feel like it)
The grandest walk towards the stadium (if they feel like it)
The southmost car park just in case you want to pull a getaway car stunt.
Or if you want to choose the far east side to run away.
Even west side there's escape point.

Or even north...

LOL, there's escape route everywhere!!!
