[Tea Break] 2K13 Feel Korea in Perth Part 3: The Pre Event (Perth)

Deuh Hello,

I'm glad I'm back to civilisation as I wrote this anecdote. It was a long rigorous 7 hour flight to Perth due to engine maintenance. Even worse, having to seat next to a baby. Waaahh... T_T But that can't be helped. So without delay, I'll show you the pre event behind the scenes before 2K13 Feel Korea in Perth including the venue survey.

Oh sweet, I just found out blogging on the phone is just plain retarded.

The flight started at 9:10am. At least I sat next to an interesting guy, his name is Phil. Apparently Phil worked as a mixer in Studio 301, a prestigious studio that master songs for Justin Bieber and Maroon 5. A very nice guy actually and fun. Quite a coincidence to meet him as we're looking for a connection in the music industry to mix and master Tom's upcoming EP for the lols. So I was asking Phil for his card but I got his boss's card instead! What a win!!

For all your mixing and mastering needs.

We touched down at roughly 1pm local time. The weather in Perth was moderately humid and chance of showers.. yeah... Swiftly, Phil and I rushed towards the front terminal as I've got to catch up on the 2K13 Cultural Classes which I missed...*sigh* and Phil's got to catch up on his mate's wedding recital.

Euhhh, the first impress touching down in Perth is being pissed on. Poor you, Phil.

After baggage claim and quarantine, I'm surprised for having to go through quarantine for a local flight. The airport security is very tight in Perth for i'm guessing it's a very work safe environment due to it's prosperous mining economy.

Anyways, we queue for the line to pickup my anticipated Veloster. I've always wanted to drive one of this baby after admiring it from the drama series "City Hunter" and shortly, they showcase it in Sydney's Kpop Festival 2011.

I'm like should I pay extra $5 for the turbo series? Let's fork up insurance and just give it a go! It was worth it because Perth is made of series of freeways and highways where you go over 100kph anyways.

Ok, before we drive... Let's check my poorly drawn treasure map of the city POI and the stadium.

When it says "No man's land". Stay away from it.

But all is well when I finally met my comrade from the music making days. The one and only "Devy Kentjana", she's quite a Youtube sensation in Sydney for her covers. Please show a little support towards our local talents since it's going to be a few to read, I'll link one of her cover in here to accompany your enjoyment.

Counting hours till she finish working long hours, I'll just end up sleeping in the car till 3pm. LOLS! Anyways, while we are in town... let's check out the suburb of Fremantle. It's a hipster suburb full of vibrant colours and culture!! Awww, so nice to see you again after a long time, Devy!! You're the best!

Liking pubs? There's places to choose but we're not fond of alcohol after a footlong sandwich! No, Devy. We're not going to drink in Rosie's.

Let's take a picture here so we can reminiscence where we park our car.

Check out the colourful traffic. By that I meant they paint the road red, yellow, blue and else.

Ok, it says tram but it's got wheels. Let's see just to make sure.

Time is not a luxury, would be nice if we can check out this hip looking bar.

Overall, the food culture here is unique. You see these macarons from Maison Saint Honoure is very sought for. Now I know why, the salted caramel is sinfully delish!!! Plus, the food is a bit iffy for me. When i'm in doubt with food, I know I can trust Subway's Meatball manwich with Flatbread. Yummm!!

It's a big block of walking but the main POI of Fremantle for me is the market, I've always to scout out the oldest part of town.

The highlight would be the Fremantle market. The best way to describe it is
get ready to be warped into the 18th century market. Lots of handiwork crafts, fortune telling,
gyspy wears, fruit and veggies and someone threw boomerangs indoors for the lols.

It's now approaching the evening. We decided to scout the stadium to familiarise ourselves to the venue before tomorrow's event. It's good to prepare and get ahead from other event crews as the JK Ent team also coming from Korea and have to familiarise themselves.

The caption description is based on my perspective and the actual event.

The main entry point for all cars and buses. There's huge roundabout with ample of space to do your paparazzi shots.

The VIP entry point for the floor standing. Definitely the most packed spot.
Parking is very accessible as they are right south from the VIP entry point.
East from the VIP entry point is where the drop off for the celebrities (if they feel like it)
The grandest walk towards the stadium (if they feel like it)
The southmost car park just in case you want to pull a getaway car stunt.
Or if you want to choose the far east side to run away.
Even west side there's escape point.

Or even north...

LOL, there's escape route everywhere!!!
